You will learn how to:
  • Take accurate inventories of furniture, computers, and contents
  • Compute man-hours (instead of pounds or cubic feet) to determine the right number of men and trucks for how long to complete an office move
  • Prepare a detailed Scope of Services to ensure the service mirrors the bid
  • Prepare an accurate estimate so that you’ll be able to complete the job on time for the price quoted

Module III - Operations: How to Perform Successful Office Moves That Finish On Time for the Price Quoted
You will learn:
  • How to ensure that your customer is 100% ready when your move crews arrive (to reduce the risk of change orders and subsequent higher costs)
  • The best and most efficient method for loading furniture onto the moving van
  • The best methods for moving furniture, computers, paintings, and glass tops without damage
  • The best methods for preventing damage to walls, carpet, doors and door jambs during a move
  • How to ensure the mover furnishes enough equipment (dollies, carts, etc.) for your job
  • How to sequence tasks to diffuse move-day pressure
  • How to supervise and control the moving crew
