Daniel’s wins law firm move with one-of-a-kind protective device

PHOENIX, AZ - Last fall, the national law firm of Morrison & Hecker needed to hire a mover for their upcoming relocation into the Viad center, an upscale office building in central Phoenix. One thing worried them, though. How could they be sure their mover would not damage those big, expensive wooden entry doors?

“They took two floors and on the entry floor they have huge double doors leading to a large waiting area. The doors are at least 12 feet high and hand-carved wood,” recounts Doug Hibbard of Daniel’s Moving & Storage, a Phoenix-based mover. “The office manager and partners were very concerned about the doors. Our ability to protect them was relevant to us getting the job.”

Hibbard showed them how The Mat-A-Door® was specifically designed to prevent damage to office doors and Daniel’s got the job.

“They couldn’t get over how we protected their $18,000 entrance doors,” said Hibbard.

Berger Allied identifies building protection as their single most important landlord-friendly activity to getting recommended to tenants. Tops in Berger's building-protection arsenal is The Mat-A-Door®, shown here shielding a vulnerable glass entry door.

Johnson Storage & Moving Co. management personnel admire the first set of Mat-A-Doors® stickered with their own company logo. Ed Katz, inventor of the doorway protective device, demonstrates how to install The Mat-A-Door® on an interior office door.

The Mat-A-Doors provide a unique marketing advantage, because they scream “We Care” about the building and the furniture we are moving, and the really great thing is it prevents costly claims. When you get a one-two punch like this it makes you realize how much it pays to build the better mouse trap! Kudos, Ed Katz, you have done it again.
